Sofia is a Human Resources Consultant with over 13 years of senior level experience in Human Resources.  She has worked in both provincially and federally regulated companies, in a wide range of industries including education, engineering, public practice accounting and telecommunications.  Throughout Sofia’s career she has engaged in various functions of HR, always with a mindset of translating business strategy into systematic HR initiatives. Her HR experience has involved overseeing day-to-day operations, developing HR strategies, leading organizational changes and partnering with leadership to drive and deliver on HR principles and business strategies.

Sofia has consistently delivered innovative HR business support and solutions, with a demonstrated passion and specialization in learning and development.  Her focus on training has included developing robust training strategies and conducting thorough needs assessments to design, deliver, implement and evaluate tailored in-house training programs. Focused on adult learning principles, she has offered a range of training delivery methods including, on-the-job, instructor-led, virtual, e-learning and blended.  She has delivered training to various stakeholders from front-line staff to top executives on compliance and professional skills training including conflict resolution, change management, leadership, coaching, facilitation skills and operational excellence.
